1/31/2024 0 Comments Will diablo 4 be forced pvp![]() It’s a little bit different this time, though, because unlike previous entries Diablo 4 is an always-online live-service game, which means players – for the first time ever – have to maintain an internet connection to be able to play – even solo outside of a party. ![]() It’s far more fair this way and stops the assembly line of bodies that are being ganked in PVP zones.Diablo 4 has been a rollicking success in the weeks since it launch, but always requiring an internet connection is still causing more hassle than it should.Īfter 10 years away, one poorly conceived mobile spin-off and a remaster of arguably one of the best games in the series, Diablo proper is finally well and truly back. Players that are not flagged that stick around to kill mobs should be given a timer where they will be flagged if they stick around… and all the mobs they kill will drop shards like normal, but only flagged players can pick them up. Or simply to avoid having players get killed by PVPers when they are simply trying to get from point A to point B and riding through the zone in part, or using the waypoint and leaving town only to run into someone gatekeeping that’s flagged. The idea here is to prevent people from wandering into the PVP zones and getting ganked over and over by people that are just waiting for them since the seasonal objectives are basically creating a funnel of ignorant players that don’t know what they are getting into by going into that zone. Players cannot unflag unless they leave the zone. ![]() Players cannot pick up shards unless they flag.Players (even in PVP-centric zones) must flag in order to be attacked by other flagged players. ![]() Remove seasonal objectives from PVP areas. The basics of this suggestion were getting muddied by many people and I didn’t fully understand how the shards were used so: Revised suggestion is below in several parts. ![]()
